Outline More than 170 years have passed since the arrival of the Black Ships. Why not take a cruise around Tokyo Bay on the "Shirahama Maru," a ship roughly the same size as the "Susquehanna," the ship Commodore Perry was on when he arrived? We will sail north through Tokyo Bay to off the coast of Haneda Airport. The scenery viewed from the ship is full of sights that cannot be seen from land. There are many highlights, including the "First and Second Sea Forts," fortifications built in the Meiji era to withstand the Black Ships' attack, the "Umihotaru Parking Area" and "Haneda Airport Runway D" seen from the sea, and the "Wind Tower" up close!
